What is Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR)?
Visor's SAR employs moving sensors over a target region to simulate a synthetic antenna, resulting in higher spatial resolution images than would be possible with conventional ground-based beam-scanning radar. As SAR sensors move, the location of the antenna relative to the target changes with time. Digital signal processing of radio wave echoes allows for imaging radar use for a wide variety of industrial, environmental, and defense applications.

Visor's time-domain back-projection (TDBP) SAR image formation processor provides real-time processing of wide-swath SAR data.
It can generate multiple SAR images arranged into Video SAR sequences. Most effective for images created with short dwell times, such as those from X-Band SAR systems, Video SAR is valuable for finding directional targets and for observing changes in an area over short time periods.
Visor produces Video SAR with ground processing of circle SAR or spotlight-mode data at L-band to help identify directional targets such as wires, and at L- or X-band to look for changes in an area over the observation period.
